Catch a Glimpse of Mr. and Mrs. Claus at the GM Financial Parade of Lights

What began in 1983 with a crowd of only 25,000 spectators and 25 floats has grown to become the most beloved holiday tradition in Fort Worth and the largest illuminated holiday procession in Texas. This Sunday, the GM Financial Parade of Lights will illuminate the streets of Downtown Fort Worth for the 37th year. Be there on November 24th beginning at 6:00 p.m.!

This year’s “Sounds of the Season”-themed parade will kick off Fort Worth’s holiday festivities with more than 100 festive floats prepared for the event, each adorned with cheerful decor and over half a million lights. Year-after-year, North Texas families gather to experience the melodies of energetic marching bands, 100+ professionally-designed floats, sparkling antique cars, precision equestrian units, festive horse-drawn carriages, and carolers spreading Christmas cheer along the parade route.

The night will conclude with Santa and Mrs. Claus appearing on the specially designed, LED-lit, grand finale float. You won’t want to miss this chance to see Santa Claus before he goes to work with his elves, all in preparation for December 25th!

Bring your family earlier in the day to celebrate Downtown and make a day of it. Avoid the crowds by parking early or using the shuttle services from Farrington Field beginning at 2:00 PM and enjoy lunch at hundreds of great restaurants. Take advantage of some early bird holiday shopping deals at countless Downtown retailers.

Head down to the heart of Fort Worth this Sunday for the incomparable GM Financial Parade of Lights! Admission to the GM Financial Parade of Lights is free; however, reserved seating is $12.95. For more information regarding the parade, please visit www.fortworthparadeoflights.org.
